Festivals, Development, and Production

It's been a busy stretch behind the scenes at Good Path, so here's a quick rundown of where things stand.

Workplace Security

Our comedy short is currently in the hands of festival programmers, with word on our submissions expected soon. We'll share the moment we know. In the meantime, we have an official release date for this short film -- October 2nd! Mark your calendars. We'll share much more info as we get closer to that date.

The Passing Hours

This is a recent addition to our slate. Set in the same story world as The Far Country and the upcoming limited series Westbrooke, this 20-minute short film unfolds about 20 years earlier and centers on a mother's journey through unimaginable loss toward finding purpose again. It's currently in the later stages of development, and we'll have much more info in the weeks ahead. We also plan to fund this project through community investment, with more details coming soon on how you can get involved.

DEFIANT

Our true story WWII short remains in development. Keep an eye out for additional information about how to get involved and contribute to this project. We're excited to bring this one to life in the months ahead!

The Far Country

Finally, (for now) one of our favorite projects to go into pre-production soon is an adventure-drama short in active development about a father running out of choices, and he finally makes the one that matters for his daughter's future — turning toward home and the judgement that awaits. This film is also from the world of the limited series Westbrooke. In-fact, it's the prologue to that series. More details — including how you'll be able to support it — are coming soon.

Beyond these projects, there's more brewing at Good Path. We're in early development on Westbrooke, a 6-episode limited series set in the Midwest. As mentioned previously, The Far Country and The Passing Hours are prequel vignettes and backstory for the upcoming series. Outside of that, we're also developing a behemoth of a project — a WWII true story feature film set in the Pacific theater. Both are still taking shape, but we're excited about where they're headed — look for more details on each later this year.
